Practical PowerShell

I am writing a new monthly column for a new eJournal from RealTime Publishers. The column, Practical PowerShell, will be a regular feature in Windows Administration in Realtime. The eJournal is a free PDF although I think you have to give up an email address.

My column is intended to provide practical PowerShell solutions for typical management tasks. This month I show how to find those pesky files that are taking up too much space on your file servers. Typically the column will begin with an IT management challenge. I then present a solution and walk through how it works. The column isn’t necessarily intended to teach your PowerShell from the beginning, but you’ll certainly pick up some ideas.  I hope you’ll let me know what you think and share any challenges you’d like see answered.
